The Cosmic Dance: "Spring-ing" by Lady Deane

"Spring—ing" by Lady Deane

Some “sky-talk” about the dance just above your head.

Now that we’ve all begun to “spring” forward and leap into the hare-raising spirit of the season (tee hee), it’s time to ask yourself: “What new adventures/opportunities/people would you like to attract into your life?” For the Sun has officially entered Aries, the sign of the Ram. Time to make some decisions on which direction to move in.

The Vernal Equinox on March 19th marks the beginning of a period of growth and recovery from a long winter’s nap.The fiery energy of Aries represents the birth of something new—always appreciated after winter’s long slumber. So now everything wakes up and gets moving again. We will still have a few retrogrades to contend with, but March’s eclipses (along with the Spring Equinox), has served to stir up the energies and the prevailing celestial winds will be nudging us along….ready or not.

Jupiter continues to retrograde (from Jan 8ththru May 8th) in the sign of Virgo, and will continue to ask us to review our plans for expansion and growth. But we are moving forward—even if it’s still a bit more slowly than we’d like. Back in January when Jupiter first began to retrograde we asked the question: “Are we ready to grow yet?” And much of this energy was probably used to declutter our spaces—thereby literally and figuratively making room for future growth. But now that we have some space to grow into, we’ll be asking: “What do we fill it with?” and “Where do we grow to next?” If you spent the winter working behind the scenes, improving your process and implementing practical preparations for growth, then Spring will be kind to you. You can take on a mantel of authority and power and make some impressive progress. You will expand, but in a controlled and sensible, STABLE way. But if you got ahead of yourself and tried to expand before you were ready; OR if you wasted time partying too hard (or just distracted yourself from doing the work) you’ll be running to catch up now.

Mercury’s next retrograde will be from April 28ththru May 22nd. This retrograde phase will be in the sign of Taurus, which is the sign of physical resources and, once again, stability is the name of the game. Ask yourself what you need to do to solidify your position. For instance, it’s a good idea to get your financial ducks in a row. Pay off debts, redo your budget, plan future expenditures, etc. And perhaps most importantly, review your financial goals—many of them need to be changed or updated now now due to changes (some good, some challenging) in your circumstances. Never mind bemoaning the past and the never ending “should-haves.” That is water under the bridge never to return. Wasted time, wasted effort. And you don’t have time to waste right now! Just make a new plan that fits your new goals and move forward with confidence. All will be well in the end.

Saturn will be retrograding in the sign of Sagittarius from March 25ththru August 13th. Generally speaking, Saturn retrogrades tend to be a poor time to purchase or sell property (unless you have no choice about it); but it’s an excellent time to maintain property. Does your place need fixing up? Could you spruce up the yard and add some curb appeal? This is a great time to roll up your sleeves and get busy. Then, at the end of the summer, you’ll be ready to decide on whatever comes next.

So, what dance will you do this spring? I’m thinking about a lively Irish Jig at the moment. But, whatever the season brings your way, walk tall with some “spring” in your step. Play, laugh, be kind. Keep on dancing. Then look up and thank your lucky stars.
